I just learned of the death of Tom O'Shea on May 15, 2021. He and I grew up together on Fourth Street in Garden City, NY. We went to St. Joseph's grade school down the street and then to Chaminade High School in Mineola. I got to know all of his family and they were like an extension of my own. It was wonderful to read the names of his family members in his obituary as it brought them back to my memory.

Our paths diverged after high school. Tom went to Holy Cross College and then to Citigroup. I joined a Catholic religious community, Trinity Missions in Silver Spring, MD and spent many decades in our Treasurer's office, the last twenty years as Treasurer.

My prayers are with all of the family as we come to Tom's anniversary in May and of course my prayers continue for the repose of his soul.

I will always remember Tom with great admiration and affection. He was highly intelligent, even-handed, a gentleman and a great role model. He is and will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Tom.

I am very sorry to hear the news of Tom`s passing. Tom was in our wedding and was a dear friend to my husband Phil who also is now waiting for him at the gate in the Lords home of many rooms. Tom is very dear and beloved by the two of us. And I am sure without any doubt that he will be welcomed in heaven.
