William Essex
WILLIAM JOHN ESSEX May 16th 1921 to June 20, 1972. On your 100th birthday we celebrate your life and remember the love you shared with us. Dad was born in Brooklyn, New York where he met and married the love of his life, Ethel Bray and together raised six children. Dad was a World War II Army veteran proudly serving in France, Belgium and Germany with the 102nd Infantry. After the war he started his career at the New York Times pressroom working his way up to foreman. Shortly after the birth of their fourth child, Bill and Ethel moved the family to Bethpage, Long Island where he was King of his castle. Dad had an infectious sense of humor in which his family was his greater audience. Dad, you, Mom and our beautiful sister JoAnn are together again. We miss you every day and always in our hearts! Billy, Tom, Johnny, Steve, Danny and families
