It has been many years since I worked at Newsday in the photo department, and I knew Bill Ritter very well. His wonderful smile and laugh and long-lasting memories. My family and I spent a week in the Ritter bungalow in East Hampton back in the 1960's. Bill and I had many mutual friends in the Circulation Dept of Newsday, and now Bill has joined all those who have completed the journey. May he rest in peace. Tom Maguire
