1937 - 2021

WILLIAMS - William H. III, age 83, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and formerly Huntington, Long Island, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Bill was born on August 22, 1937, in Springfield, VT. He was educated at Tabor Academy, Marion, MA, and The University of Vermont, Burlington, VT. It was at UVM where he met his wife of forty-three years, and mother of their three children, Nenette Gros-Daillon Williams, who passed away in 2004. Bill served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 1959 with the Second Reconnaissance Company at Camp LeJeune, NC, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. After receiving his discharge, he completed his undergraduate degree at UVM in 1962. Bill was a long tenured US Institutional Municipal Bond Market Executive, beginning his career in 1963 at G.S. Mosley. During his almost forty-year career in the Market, he also worked for Blythe & Co., White Weld, AG Becker, Prudential-Bache, Paine Webber, Oppenheimer, and M.R. Beale. Bill was a thirty-two-year member of the Huntington Country Club, where he served on the Board of Directors and the Membership Committee, serving a term as its Chair. It was at HCC where Bill developed his passion for the game of golf and fostered his love of bridge. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Erica Williams, and by his three children, Jonathan (Ellen), Christian (Tracy), and Peter. Bill was a devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren, Kira, Ian, Catherine, and Samuel. Bill is also survived by his brother, Dana (Barbara) Williams of Maine. A memorial to celebrate Bill's life is being planned for this Autumn, in Huntington, NY.
