With profound sadness and hearts full of precious memories, we announce the passing of June Adsit, who left us peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the age of 96.
She was born on June 8, 1928, in Connersville, Indiana, to Leonard and Margaret Crute Border and resided in Connersville most of her adult life. On September 14, 1946, she married the love of her life, the late William "Bill" Adsit in Covington, Kentucky. June approached life with faith and generosity that touched everyone who knew her.
June's generous spirit manifested in countless ways throughout her life. She gave freely of her time and resources to church, charities, and people in need. Her compassion extended beyond people to animals, as she loved wildlife and the many cherished pets she adopted into her family.
Faith was an important part of June's life, providing her with comfort and guiding her actions. She showed this faith through her kindness and the quiet with which she faced life's challenges. Her spiritual conviction was not merely words but manifested daily in her love for all she knew and met.
June loved playing piano, guitar, and singing for the Lord. In her leisure time, she found simple pleasures in completing crossword puzzles, engaging in games of Scrabble, and settling in to watch her beloved British mystery sitcoms.
June is survived by her children, Cindora "Cindy" Coleman, Danielle (Aaron) Willmarth, both of Connersville; her sisters, Naomi Gilmore (Connersville), Linda Carter (Phoenix, AZ), Sue (Rodney) Allen (Liberty, IN); grandchildren, Steven Coleman, Ian and Joseph Messer, Zachary and Cody Earlywine, Bentley Harrison, and Kaylee Willmarth, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Lakes; three brothers and a sister, Robert "Bobby", Wayne, Wilma (Spaulding), and Dale Border; a grandson, William "Billy" Coleman Jr.; a great-grandson, Gavin Messer and many nieces and nephews.
While we will miss her presence deeply, we find comfort in the countless memories and the lasting impact she made on all of our lives. Her legacy of generosity, love, and strong faith will continue to inspire everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Pastor Eric Hopkins will officiate. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
