Patricia Jean Boger, 70, of Connersville, went home to be with her Lord Monday morning, February 13, 2023 at Reid Hospital in Richmond where she had been a patient for eight days.
She was born January 24, 1953 in Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, the younger of two daughters of Elton Steve Jr. and Eula Brandenburg Carlisle, who relocated in 1946 to Connersville where she had been a resident for all 70 years of her wonderful life.
Patti was a charter member of the Connersville Baptist Temple, and she was also a former member of Calvary Baptist Church. She started traveling with the Evangelaires, a performing gospel quartet, when she was 16 years old, and went on to sing, play piano, teach, and organize a multitude of church performers throughout all her life.
She served her community as a 30-year employee of Wholesale Carpets in Connersville.
In her leisure, she enjoyed music, nature, gardening, traveling, movies, waterfalls, adventure, food, and most of all her family.
Survivors include three children, Nicholas Poe (and wife, Madeline A.) of Jacksonville, Andrea Renee Hundley (and husband, Jeremy), and Jason Boger of Connersville; her spouse, Michael D. Boger; one sister, Janet Martin; two granddaughters, Mercedes Lynn Fudge (fiancé, Ryan Dye) and Lexie Renee Fudge; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Nicholas's father, Steven Poe; and a brother-in-law, Harold Martin.
Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Connersville Baptist Temple.
