Robert Lee Moore, formerly of Connersville, passed away on Friday November 21, 2025, at Fairway Village in Indianapolis at the age of 93. Robert was born on August 12, 1932, in Pond Lick, Jackson County, Kentucky, the son of Claude D. and Bessie Helton Moore.
At the Full Gospel Holiness Church in Connersville, he was united in marriage to the former Hazel Cain on December 19, 1953. They shared 46 years together prior to her death on March 24, 2000. They were blessed with two lovely daughters.
Robert was a truck driver and eventually Terminal Manager for Fraley and Schilling Trucking from 1970 through 2015. After retirement, he transported ESPN equipment for Survivor favorite Rupert Boneham events.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of riding motorcycles, camping, boating, water skiing, hunting and fishing. He had traveled to all the states but Hawaii only because they had yet to build a bridge. Robert never knew a stranger and was known to be fun loving and onery.
His memories will be loved and cherished by his daughters, Ingrid Baney and Vickie (Tom) Snyder; sister, Euldean Miller; grandchildren, Travis (Claudia) Banks, Nichole (Denise Stephen) Banks, and Jeremy (Alexis) Combs; two step grandsons, Chad (Ashley) Snyder and Ryan (Brandy) Snyder and their families; great grandchildren, Ashton (Morgan) Harmon, Taylor (Cody) Steele, and Adaline Combs; a great-great granddaughter, Olivia Harmon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Moore, Chester Moore and Jesse Moore and sisters, Inez Cowing, Pearlie Ford, Doris Moore, Lorene Seals and Christean Waddell.
Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville, on Wednesday November 26, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Family and friends may gather and share memories from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Robert will be laid to rest at Dale Cemetery.
