Donna Merendino Obituary
Maria loved the outdoors, especially being in the water and camping. She had a big heart, vivacious personality and just as in life, we know that her carefree spirit is now running naked with the angels. We love her very much, and although she was taken from us much too soon, we take comfort in knowing that she will always be watching over us.
Mrs. Merendino was preceded in death by her father, John D. Merendino Sr.; brother, John D. Merendino Jr.; maternal grandparents, Donald C. and Sibyl Groce; and paternal grandparents, Winnie Dale Hill and Jim Dilley.
She is survived by her son, Michael Cox; two daughters, Ashley Cox and MaKayla Sandidge; two grandsons, Kaden Cox and Dakota Corley; two granddaughters, Brooke and Allison Corley; mother, Donna Carpenter; sister, Amanda Saturley (Byron); six nephews, Matthew and Josh Crundwell, Michael, Byron and Chris Saturley, and Ryan Merendino; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Maria's life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Those wishing to extend condolences may do so at www.heritagefhllc.com.

maria was such a beautiful woman. im so honored to be able to call her my friend. i knew her as a child and an adult and she never changed she was always always smiling. she loved life. i will miss her with all my heart..fly high maria

Donna and Amanda,I am so sorry to hear about Maria's passing.My prayers are with you and know that she is in a better place.She was such a beautiful little girl and a wonderful woman.So know that she and John John have met again and one day all of you will reunite again.
