Lisa Bunch Obituary
Lisa Ramona Davis Bunch, 68, departed this world on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015. Although she was born in San Francisco, Calif., on May 13, 1947, Lisa was a lifelong resident of Panama City, Bay County, Fla. She was a Tribal Elder of the Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California and descended from Coast Miwok, Lake Miwok and Pomo tribal lineage.
Lisa attended Rutherford High School and married her husband of 49 years, Maurice Gary Bunch, Sr., on June 21, 1964. She loved spending time with family and was known to call her mother, brothers and children on a daily basis. Lisa was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed on from complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in her home where she lived for more than 48 years.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Russell Raymond Davis, Sr., sister, Lora Diane Davis, and husband, Maurice Gary Bunch, Sr.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Olsen Davis Nitka (Joseph) of Tucson, Ariz.; her six brothers, Russell Davis, Jr. (Shirley) of College Park, Ga., John Nitka (Mary Ann) of Tucson, Ariz., Michael Nitka (Heidi) of Tucson, Ariz., Dr. James Nitka (Melanie) of Greensboro, N.C., Paul Nitka (Angie) of Tucson, Ariz., and Lawrence Nitka (Shawnda) of Tucson, Ariz.; her three children, Sally Renee Bunch Peterson of Middletown, Calif., Maurice Gary Bunch, Jr. (Wonda) of Panama City, Fla., and Russell Aaron Bunch of Middletown, Calif.; her five grandchildren, Christopher Alan Bunch, Nicholas Ryan Peterson, Zackary Aaron Peterson, Michael Ryan Bunch and Braxton Tyler Bunch; her two great-grandchildren, Olivia Nicole Bunch and Bailey Marie Bunch.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 -8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
