SHAMOKIN - Daniel Robert Gustitus, 63, of 401 N. Rock St., Apt. 5, Shamokin, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at his residence.
Daniel was born at Shamokin State General Hospital, Coal Township, on March 28, 1958, a son of Linda Elaine (Schickley) Parks, of Coal Township, and the late Daniel Robert Gustitus Sr.
Dan graduated in 1976 from Shamokin Area High School. Following high school, he enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Germany. He received an honorable discharge.
He attended Restoration Ministries, Shamokin.
He was employed as a caseworker for the Pa. Department of Welfare, Harrisburg.
Daniel was married to the former Allison Kopitsky, who preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2015.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Diane Doncheski, of Pottsville, and Donna Lynn Fredericks, of Iowa; two brothers, Anthony Gustitus, of Waymart, and Frank Gustitus, of Paxinos; a stepdaughter, Jessica Deimler, of Coal Township; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, John E. Parks.
GUSTITUS - Daniel Robert Gustitus, 63, of 401 N. Rock St., Apt. 5, Shamokin. There will not be a funeral service at this time. The family has entrusted arrangements to the James Kelley Funeral Home, James F. Kelley, Director, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township.
