SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Harry K. "Buzz" Miller, 88, of Shamokin Township (Irish Valley), passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 11, 2022, at Nottingham Village, in Northumberland.
He was born in the Irish Valley, Aug. 1, 1934, a son of the late Rachael (Lantz) and Raymond Miller.
Buzz graduated from Shamokin High School with the Class of 1952.
He was the husband of Gayle C. (Bixler) Miller. They were married in 1955.
Buzz was the co-owner of West End Meat Market.
He was lifelong member of Clark's Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a superintendent for many years.
Buzz was a member of Patriotic Order Sons of America 1967. He was inducted into the Bernie Romanoski Sr. Chapter Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and was named Outstanding Worker of the Year by Northumberland County.
In addition to Buzz's wife, he is survived by a son, Brad Miller, of Irish Valley; a daughter, Saranae Kurtz (Randy), of Schwenksville; a daughter, Lorri Hein (Barry), of Midway Georgia; a daughter, Stacy Zack (Craig), of Dillsburg; a son, Kurt Miller (Lora), of Lancaster; two sisters, Lois Persing, and Sharlee Deibler (Jerry), all of Reading; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Wayne; and a sister, Haroldine.
MILLER - Harry K. "Buzz" Miller, 88, of Shamokin Township. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rothermel-Heizenroth-Clark Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 387 W. Valley Ave., Elysburg, with Pastor Monica Romberger officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
