Joseph Gricoski Obituary

ELYSBURG — Joseph F. Gricoski, 57, of 2038 Airport Road, died Monday, April 23, at home after a two-year illness.

Born in Shamokin on Sept. 2, 1949, he was a son of Gilbert E. Gricoski of Coal Township and the late Genevive (Rudewicz) Gricoski.

Joseph was a 1967 graduate of Coal Township High School.

He was a veteran of the Vietman War.

He worked as a corrections officer at SCI Coal Township.

He was a former member of Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Kevin Olvany of Elysburg; two sisters, Connie Belgio and husband Carmen of Monaca and Bernice Gricoski of Coal Township; two grandchildren, Jasmine and Kevin Olvany; a companion, Rae Jean Francola of Shamokin, and several nieces and nephews.
