Joseph Peek Obituary

SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Joseph M. Peek, 75, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in the Samaritan Hospice Unit in Mount Holly, N.J.

Born in Kulpmont, Pa., he was a resident of Southampton Township for 2½ years and formerly resided in Cherry Hill, N.J..

He was married to Jacqueline Peek, who died two weeks ago.

Mr. Peek was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Korean War.

He was employed as an auto parts broker for 30 years before retiring.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Kulpmont.

He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and loved to do puzzles.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph M. Peek Jr. and wife Nancy of Highland Village, Texas; Mark Peek and wife Nanci of Plainfield, Ill., and Alan Michael Peek and wife Kathleen of Burlington Township; a sister, Josephine Katchick of Kulpmont; a brother, Mike Peek Jr. of Kulpmont; and 11 grandchildren, Audrey, Hailey, Kyle, Emily, Joshua, Jessica, Alyssa, Ashley, Daniel, Katelyn and Karly.

PEEK — Joseph M. Peek, of Southampton Township, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, 260 High St., Mount Holly, N.J. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Joseph M. Peek to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, N.J. 08691. Lee Funeral Home, 317 High St., Mount Holly, N.J., has charge of arrangements. E-mail condolences may be sent to [email protected].
