ELYSBURG - Mary Lou Olley, 83, of Elysburg, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at her residence with her loving family by her side.
On Sept. 17, 1960, in the former St. Stanislaus Church, Shamokin, she married her high school sweetheart, Carl A. Olley, who survives. Last year, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Mary Lou was an active member of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg. She had a very strong faith and always attended daily Mass.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, Carl, include a daughter, Thea Schiccatano and her husband, Richard, of Paxinos; a grandson, Richard Schiccatano and his wife, Justina, of Miami; a granddaughter, Courtney Becker and her husband, Aaron, of Selinsgrove; a great-grandson, Quinn Schiccatano; a great-granddaughter, Braelynn Becker; a sister, Kathy Piaskowski, of Watsontown; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4 at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg, with the Rev. Joseph Scanlin as celebrant. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. Masking and social distancing is required at all services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 599 W. Center St., Elysburg 17824, or VNA Crossings Hospice, 21 W. Independence St., Shamokin 17872. The Stephen A. Chowka Funeral Home, 114 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, is assisting the family with arrangements.
