COAL TOWNSHIP - Raymond "Ray" Santor, 67, of 1523 Wabash St., died Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville, where he was a patient for 12 days.
He was born in Shamokin, June 11, 1957, a son of the late Raymond and Marie (Cleary) Santor.
Ray was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School, Class of 1975.
He was employed in the maintenance department of Shamokin Area School District.
He was a member of Mother Cabrini Church and various clubs in the Shamokin area, including the St. Francis Home Association where he was the recording secretary for 40 years, the East End Fire Co., the West End Fire Co., the Independence Fire Co, and the Sons of Italy.
Ray was an avid sports fan, especially passionate about the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. He loved his bus trips to see the Phillies play. Ray also loved buying and playing lottery scratch-off tickets and sharing them with family and friends.
Though Ray never married or had children, his family and friends were central to his life. He was a very easy going and fun person to be around and made lots of friends throughout his life. He will be remembered for his warm heart and his passion for sports. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
Ray is survived by a sister, Mary Ellen Willow and her husband, Gary, of Hagerstown, Maryland; an aunt, Lois Santor, of Elysburg; nieces and nephews, Tara (Willow) Wood and her husband, Corbin, Gary Willow and his wife Amanda, Eric Willow, Tyler Smith and Jackson Storey; and several cousins and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Marie Santor Smith; and a nephew, Alan Michael Willow.
SANTOR - Raymond "Ray" Santor, 67, of 1523 Wabash St., Coal Township. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.

I used to work with Ray at the Shamokin Area School District its sad that he died he will be missed my many people rest in peace smacko (it was a nickname he gave me)
