Gene Curry Obituary
Mount Sidney - Gene Raymond Curry. 82, of Mount Sidney, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Staunton on February 12, 1936, a son of the late Earl Franklin and Lillian (Ray) Curry.
Gene proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a general contractor for many years and later retired from Knopp Enterprises in April 2017.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robin Curry and brother, James Curry.
Left to cherish his memory is wife, Doris (Baylor) Curry; children, Susan Casady and Wayne Curry and wife, La Donna; grandchildren, Marc Curry and Nicole Martin; great grandchildren, Bethany and Arizona Martin; sister, Marian Cline; as well as extended family and friends.
Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Burial will be private at Thornrose Cemetery.

Dear Doris,
Back in the 50s, riding in daddy's pick up truck with Crystal Paige driving, I think I sat on your knees so I could go to the Dairy Wright with you all. I hope you remember me: Crystal s sister, Sharon.
I'm so sorry to here of Gene's passing. He was a fine fellow and will be missed by many.
