Wilma Peters Obituary
Colonial Heights - Wilma Janet Talley Maness Peters, 78, of Colonial Heights, VA, died November 5th, 2018, in the hospital after complications with heart disease. Born June 28, 1940 to the late Silas and Helen Maness of West Grove, PA, she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis J. Peters Sr., USMC, sons Bobby and Joey, brother JayCee and sister Phyllis. She will be missed by her soul mate and life partner Thomas Markel, her children Twyla, Marine, Lydia, Lewis Jr., Susan, and CJ; grandchildren Janet, Shasta, Nicole, Tonna, India, Faye, Kayla, Layla, Lewis III, Cassie, Hannah, Ian, and Miranda; and great-grandchildren Courtney, Harleigh, Ronnie, Timmy, MaeMae, TJ, and Silas; sister Amy Frances and many loving nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her love of music, and teaching many at Keyboard Centers of Staunton and Hayden Music of Harrisonburg, and where she played locally in her band called "Country Sunshine". Artistic and creative, loving and loved, in her bright shining memory, the family wishes in lieu of flowers, everyone enjoy this moment, this day, and live life to the fullest.
