Catherine Evans Obituary
Katie, loving and dedicated mother to her children, was brought into this world on July 27, 1970, to Bill and Mary Williams. Katie was a graduate of Monroe Catholic High School and dedicated her life to helping others. She worked with the American Red Cross teaching CPR classes and was one of the first female service writers in the state of Alaska. When she wasn't working Katie could often be found with a book. Her favorite authors were James Patterson and Norah Roberts.
Katie was always strong-willed with the kindest heart. She had many children who called her ""mom"" and grew her family until the moment she left Earth. She encouraged her children to be themselves and often told them, ""Don't be a sheep and follow the herd, be who you are.""
Katie was predeceased by her father, Bill Williams. Katie is survived by her mother, Mary Williams; her brothers, Joe, Tim, Mike and John Williams; children, Thomas (Kaylee) Evans and Amber (Benjamin) Johnson; grandchildren, Kalani and Benjamin Johnson; cousin, Stacey Williams; nephews, Patrick Williams, Carl Williams, Brayden Williams; and nieces, Jenna and Marley Williams, Rebecca Duke, and Colleen Boomshire.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fairbanks Funeral Home.

The minute I meet Katie we were friends. She always opened her heart that way. She was so easy and said what she thought, no misunderstanding there. I'm so sorry for your loss Tommy and Amber. It's a sad day when we say goodbye to someone so special.

My sincerest condolences to Katie's family. Katie was a great person to grow up with, full of energy and always a good friend. It's hard to imagine the world without her in it.
