Cory Allen Wicken

1995 - 2025

Cory Allen Wicken, 30, left us to be with our Lord God on Nov. 8, 2025. Cory was born Feb. 27, 1995, to Theodore (Ted) Wicken of Fairbanks and Sally (Bluekens-Mayo) Wicken of Tanana.

Cory attended school in Fairbanks and worked in different capacities all over town; McDonald's, Home Depot, Aurora Energy, and out fishing with family friend, Bob, in Eyegik, Alaska. When he was younger, he loved going to the bike tracks, going to Joel's Place, riding around town, fishing and hiking on trails.

Cory was a very outgoing, fun, adventurous and loving guy. He loved to laugh, and his smile was to die for; it always brightened every room he was in. He gave the very best hugs, leaving you feeling loved and appreciated. He was always there for his family and friends and absolutely adored being an uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

Cory is survived by his parents, Ted and Sally Wicken; sisters, Patricia (Thomas) Ollice, Carla Wicken and Tiffany (Ernesto) Wicken; brother, Travis Wicken; grandma, Barbara Bluekens; niece and nephews, Izabell, Bryce, Skarlett, Kai, Cornelius, Julius and Koa; aunts, Brenda Krupa, Kathy (Jim) Lydon, Sharon (Jay) Tyone and Marilyn Overpeck; uncles, Steven Bluekens, Robert Mayo, Jim Wicken and John Wicken; special friends, Cornelius Everett and Natalie Totemoff; and so many cousins, friends and extended family.

Cory is preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Bluekens, Theodore Wicken, Mary Wicken, Winthrop Mayo and Virginia (Joseph) Mayo; uncles, Mike Wicken, Elijah Moses and Milton Moses; aunts, Shirley (Mayo) Lee and Jean Mayo; and many extended family and friends.
