Death was not God's original purpose for us, it is something for which we can never be completely prepared. Ecclesiastes 3:11

Danny, you will be missed. I always enjoyed visiting with you. One time I met up with him and Connie at Maes Burger Joint ... and actually had a story for him about having seen a white wolf up on American Summit as it crossed the Taylor Hwy. I was really amazed to have seen such a sighting. So I told my tale, he looked at me and said well, I have one even better than that. He related the story of the long tailed wild cat - mountain lion if I remember right - being seen by folks around Tetlin. Guess he made fun of them telling such tales cause there had never been one that he knew about this far north. Then one day he saw it, said he saw the tail first and it looked like a monkey tail - then he saw the rest of the animal. He said he had to go back to the folks he made fun of about seeing this animal and apologize. But that is what I remember about Danny - he could tell a tale. But when he was wrong about making fun of someone, and turned out that they said was true - he would apologize. That big man had a good heart who lived the way he was taught, and took care of and loved his family. RIP Danny. My hugs and prayers go out to Connie, his children and the rest of his family.
