I had the pleasure of going to high school with Herb. We were on opposing sides of intramural football. Herb was a formidable opponent!
We also worked at the FNSB together. Herb was a good man!

I first met Herb when we both worked at the FNSB, he in platting and I in land management. Our mutual interest was in subdividing FNSB for sale to the public. Herb helped me me with the same grace and honor thet he extended to the public.
Herb had a good sense of humor, what stands out is the hula skirts we wore for an office winter party.
I will miss him,

I met Herb when I became involved with FNSB land management and planning issues apparently many years ago. Herb was wonderful to work with, showed common sense and compassion in his dealings with the public, staff, assembly and commissioners. I'm glad he had some time after the FNSB to enjoy life and his family.

I love and share our love for our children-- Kirk, Rory and
Kiana. My love for your father is unending. We shared so many happy times together. Your dad and I learned to fly in Tombstone, Arizona. Your grandparents, Ann and Tony
Dauksza, stayed in a little cabin right by us. How much fun we all had just like in our home in Fairbanks and "The Clipper
Gold Mine". We all camped together in Bettles, AK where
your dad was flying and we fished or berry picked. We
have so much to be proud of with your father. All of us
are miles apart but just a heart beat away from your dad and each other. I love you unequivocally. Your dad and I were married in the historic Catholic Church on the river bank of the Chena in Fairbanks, AK on 12/15/1972. How
Awesome in the eyes of God!
