Hermie John was born Feb. 15, 1966, to the late, Herman Sr. and Clara Joseph.
Hermie John is survived by his mother, Clara; sisters, Pamela Van Dyke and Anna (Aaron) Joseph; brothers, Randy (Debbie) Van Dyke, Samuel Blackett and Anthony (Lori) Joseph; nieces, Brittney Van Dyke, Keisha Joseph, Tasha Rankin Ross, Andrea and Michelle Van Dyke; nephews, Ryan Van Dyke and Cole Williams; numerous great-nieces and nephews; uncles, Charles Evans, Jr., Curtis Evans and Norman Joseph; aunts, Linda Mohn, Joann Sweetsir, Zelma Axford, Shirley Butler, and Mary Derry and Godmother Elsie Pitka.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Sr.; paternal grandparents, Elijah Joseph Sr. and Charles Evans Sr., and Selina Pitka Joseph and Josephine Evans; maternal grandparents, Mary and Snoko Billy and Pooto and Annie Hope; sister, Laurie Kay Rankin; niece, Daryon Williams; aunts, Nora Billy, Annie Sun, Mable Wiehl, Edith Billy, Sharon Evans and Julia Pitka; uncles, Elijah Joseph, Jr., Calvin Dale Evans; great uncles, William "Gallo," Bergman, Elman, Alfred and Peter Pitka; Godparents, Elman Pitka and George Winer, and childhood best friend, Richie Pitka.
Juh will be missed by family and friends through all walks of life. Rest in Peace, tall quiet neighbor. Rest in peace young man, who once floated 100-plus river miles just to look for agates in Stevens Village.
Visitation in Fairbanks will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Nov. 7, at Fairbanks Funeral Home.
Visitation in Beaver will be held at noon Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Beaver. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m.

I know Herman for years, when i first him through John Mayo, all three of us hang out, and be friends, even though tough times comes around in Fairbanks, we made it buddy, I saw you not long ago, take care of yourself, and i will too, God has plans for all of us, all family, enjoy and be happy while you are still here on earth, enjoy, Herman was super nice, and we all cared for him, God Bless
