Hey, Buppa It´s Kira, or I suppose I go by Kiran nowadays. I know you´re long gone, but you'll always be in my heart. Now that I´m much older and have typing skills, I can write you something.
My fondest memory of you is a secret you told me to keep from grandma; you´d let me take a big bowl of ice cream, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and whip cream. Something Grandma would disapprove of, being a nurse and all.
So you laughed and told me to go hide up in my bedroom, to which I obliged, darting up the stairs with the bowl in hand.
I remember doodleberry cake, my finest little sweet. You´d buy me at Bobby´s a carrot cake.
You told me it was doodleberry, and as I really wanted to try some, it took till I was twelve to find out doodleberry cake wasn´t a real thing. I appreciate that about you; you were whimsical.
Mom still talks about you; we have you on the altar next to Grandma and Julia. I sketched a picture of you to go beside it.
We celebrate every birthday with an orange cake as Julia used to make; we´ve kept fragments of you with us forever, and of grandma too.
I hope you can one day see how strong my mom has become with you and grandma in mind and how much we all miss you. Love your grandson, Kiran.

I once read the measurement of a mans character is not necessarily based on lifes achievements, rather Spirit of mans Heart; His Honor yielded both. I will always cherish the memories of our talks; I will always regret having not listened more. My heart goes to Mrs. Connelly, children and their families.

Hugh became a dear friend when he met my dear friend Sandra MacKenzie, in 1951, and they have continued to be my friends for more than 60 years. My heart goes out to Sandra--they were so very close for all those years--and to his daughters, grandchildren and great grand children. I heard how delighted he was with the “little ones” who cheered him, and perhaps made his illness a little more tolerable. I am very sad at his passing, and I will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sandy and her family. Hugh and Sandy were my neighbors for almost 10 years. Hugh was a wonderful man. He was kind and generous to everyone. He always had a smile on his face and the love that he had for Sandy and his family was obvious to anyone that knew him. We shared many great times together and I was blessed to have had him in my life. He is in heaven now but his memory will live on forever. To my very dear friend, I love you and miss you. RIP, love, G.G. Lyons

Judge Connelly was a mentor to many new attorneys in his courtroom, always treating everyone with respect, and gently guiding the proceedings to a just outcome. He lived a full and active live, and will be greatly missed by many people who had the privilege of knowing him.
