James Roy Stagdon

1940 - 2021

James Roy Stagdon, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 29, 2021. Born on Jan. 14, 1940, James served 13 years in the Air Force, leaving the service to make his home in Fairbanks, Alaska. He worked in Civil Service at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, until retiring to Pharr, Texas, where he and his wife have lived for 19 years. A skilled craftsman, Jim took great pleasure in restoring old cars, working with wood, and creating writing instruments. His kind, gentle, and generous spirit endeared him to all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Stagdon. He leaves six surviving children, Kathy Stagdon, Chris Stagdon, Cynthia Flynn, Sianna Wilson, Suzanne Timm and Diane Minster, as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all who love him dearly. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Jeff Stagdon.
Following cremation, James will be interred in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Williamstown, Pennsylvania.
