Jodie Harris Obituary

Former Montana resident Jodie "Jo" Oswald Harris, 50, died at home Jan. 11, 2022, in Moose Creek, Alaska.
Jo was born Aug. 26, 1971, in Butte, Montana, to Richard and Rosemary Oswald. As a kid growing up, she was active in sports such as basketball and volleyball. She left home at a young age looking for adventure. Her love for the outdoors brought her to Alaska, where she met her husband, Daniel Harris. They dated for several years and married in 2005.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Harris; her two children, Morgan Harris and Cade Hamilton (Ashley Ward); and her granddaughter, Chloe Hamilton, all of Moose Creek/North Pole, Alaska.
She is also survived by her parents, Richard and Rosemary Oswald of Dillion, Montana; her sisters, Leslie Dawson (Mike) of Spokane, Washington, and Teresa Smith of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; her brother, Nathan Oswald (Shannon) of Dillon, Montana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jo will always be remembered for her love of animals, her lively spirit and quick whit.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fairbanks Funeral Home.

I'm so very lucky to have you been part of our life's! You were like a second mom to me, the first person I told when I was pregnant with chloe, the one who would stay up late and be there just to listen, and be there through all the hard times.. im happy you were able to be part of chloes life for her to establish such a great relationship with you. She will always carry you with her, with you being the one who named her & having part of your name. we love and miss you more than you could imagine; I'm glad you are free of all your pains and kicking it with grandma Jody up there.. till we meet again! Love you to the moon & back
