Jack was one of the best men walking and talking. Not many with the great qualities he had. Miss him, a very special man.

I was jack´s sister in law. He was so kind and open to life´s crooked road. Always had a positive outlook. And always gave God the glory. I miss his guidance and dear voice. He was a good man.

Jack possessed so much joy, everything he did he did with joy. One of the finest men I have had the pleasure of meeting and being with. Beautiful family, friends everywhere we went. He should be an angel.

Jack was one of the nicest people I had the pleasure of knowing. We met t the Physical Fitness Center on FWW. Jack was always up for a game of racquetball, he was one of the true pioneers that wouldn´t let that sport die. He had such a long wingspan it was hard to get balls by him. My favorite part was watching him slide around the floor on that one knee pad he would always wear. I had the pleasure of knowing both him and his beautiful wife, Darlene, they were pillars in the Fairbanks community. Jack was one of the main advocates to get an ice rink at FWW and he always ensured the ice was rented by youth hockey teams. I will definitely miss Jack, good people like him don´t just come along every day. Take your rest my friend. Sending love and prayers to your family.

Jack was truly an amazing man. I watched and played many racquetball games with him at the Fort Wainwright Fitness Center. If he couldn´t find someone to play he would come in my office and convince me to come out play a few games. I always enjoyed playing but mostly how he would always visit with anyone while waiting for the next game/court.

So sorry to learn of Jack's passing. I only met him briefly when he and Darlene first moved to Fairbanks and Darlene and I worked together at First National Bank of Fairbanks. Good times come to a close, but memories last forever. Love and best thoughts, Walter Burtt & Family
