Our beloved Kenneth Ray Duyck (Uncle Bendel), 56, went peacefully to Heaven's pearly gates on Sept. 13, 2021, with his life partner, Brenda "Buttons" Titus, by his side.
He was born in Fairbanks to Greta and Percy Duyck Sr., raised in Ferry, and then Nenana, where he lived out his life. Kenny learned alongside his father and brothers to work the family trapline from 17 Mile all the way to Bear Paw River. He also worked on the North Slope in his younger years, and in his later years, he worked for the Nenana Ice Classic; he was a very hard worker and well known for his kind nature. Kenny led a loving and quiet life with Brenda in Nenana; to see one without the other was uncommon.
Kenny leaves Brenda and his brothers, Terry Duyck Sr., Jimmy Duyck (Terry Ann Duyck), Mitchell Duyck Sr.; sister, Cara Brown (David Brown); Uncle Albert Duyck; Aunt Mary Armes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Percy and Greta; his grandparents, Tom and Ida Marie, Helen and John Duyck Sr.; brothers, Donald, Percy Jr., Robert, Jerry Dale and Jackie; sister, Patsy; uncles, Merl Marie, Tommy Marie and John Duyck Jr.; nephew, Terry Duyck Jr.; and great-niece, Jazmin Roberts.
Due to Covid, the family will have a small service in Nenana at a later date.
