Michael Williams Obituary
Michael was a kind-hearted, loving and helpful person. He always looked out for others in need and would give his all to anyone without being asked.
Michael was raised in a traditional lifestyle and loved his Athabascan culture. He will be missed at Camp Nahsii - where he was able to share our traditional way of life with kids from across the state. He was a language bearer and could speak fluent Gwic'hin. He will be terribly missed by all his family and friends.
Michael was an amazingly talented artist. His artwork reflected the beauty of our culture and land.
Michael served in the U.S. Army in Fort Benning, Georgia, where he made many lifelong friends.
Michael was preceded in death by grandparents, Gabriel and Alice Peter, John and Mary Sam, and Robert and Lena Albert; mother, Lois Williams; sister, Alfreda Williams Erick and brother in-law, James Erick Sr.; aunts, Lilly Tritt, Pauline Hayton, Virginia Titus; uncles, Paul Peter, Albert Albert, David Albert, Michael Albert; cousins, Fannie Tritt, Marlene Tritt, Roberta Titus-John, Charlotte Titus, and Jacqueline Titus; and niece Daryon Williams.
He is survived by his partner, Debbie Kozloff; father, Paul S. Williams Sr.; brothers, Paul S. Williams Jr. and Richard Williams; sister, Judith April Williams; uncle, Johnson Albert; aunt Virginia Rieck; cousins, Bella, Linda, Bernice, Mildred, Patty, MacArthur, John, Christian, Bobby, Kellie, Patrick, Marjorie, Diana, Allan, Rodney, Arthur, Rhonda, Lynda; nephews, Robert, Johannes, Ethan, Cole and Ramsey; nieces, Heaven, Keisha, Holly, Ethel, Alexis, and his favorite niece, Alice; godchild, Nellie Winer; and friends Debbie Tritt-Kendi, Danny Sam and Darryl Nickolai.
Michael leaves behind too many people to be listed here; please forgive us if we have forgotten anyone. We love you all and are so grateful for all the support we have received. K'eegwaadhat nakhwaa'ooli' diilak, diijyaa naii.
The funeral service is Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Beaver. Michael will be laid to rest by his mother.

You always hear news about kindhearted people even when your from a distant land michael was one of them especially his niece and nephew join your love once in paradise
