Uncle Bob was a unique individual. I will always remember the winter day he arrived unannounced in Ohio. Gregg and I were home (I think it was a "snow day"). My first thought was "who is this guy with icicles in his beard at our front door?" But the Straight eyes and smile soon refreshed my memory. Thank you for sharing your life and times with us. You will be missed.

Bob was a year and 29 days older than me and he could answer all my questions. He was a walking enclyopedia. When he would come to visit me in Texas he would come to my school and tell my students about his adventures in Alaska. He was one of a kind. I will miss him.

It was a pleasure having a few with Bob, and learning he was the guy that used to give us kids chewing gum at the gas station on College Rd.(40+ years ago). And the stories of him and my uncle JV in the early years were priceless. A toast to ya Bob. Farewell.

Uncle Bob used to come visit us in the Texas during the winter to avoid the cold in Alaska. We will miss his stories and adventures. He was a unique man, part of the independent spirit that was once so common in America. Peace be with you Uncle Bob.

So many memories. Our brother was a man of "straight"forward opinions and character. Small in size and large in heart. We will miss his surprise visits , his many stories and his humor.
