Ardeen P. Wisnewski, beloved wife, mom, sister, and grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Edgewood Fargo.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Lidgerwood, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
Ardeen was born on September 23, 1934, in rural Hankinson, ND, to Bernard and Hilda (Weinkauf) Kutter. She was baptized on October 7, 1934, at St. Paul Evangelical Church in rural Hammer, SD, and confirmed at the United Church of Christ in Hankinson on May 9, 1948.
Ardeen graduated from Lidgerwood High School in 1952, where she was honored to be named both Homecoming Queen and Salutatorian. On June 18, 1955, she married William "Bill" Wisnewski at St. Martin Church in Geneseo, ND. Together, they raised two children, Mark and Deanne, in Lidgerwood.
Ardeen's professional journey began at Merchants National Bank in Fargo and continued at First National Bank in Lidgerwood, where she worked from 1953 to 1960. In 1960, she transitioned into healthcare, serving as a dedicated medical administrator and office manager for Dr. Poole until 1987. Ardeen concluded her career at Lidgerwood Community Clinic, retiring in 2003 after decades of compassionate service to her community.
Ardeen was a devoted member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, the Holy Cross LWML, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Lidgerwood Senior Citizen group. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved attending their games, concerts, and activities-always cheering them on with pride.
She was also an avid gardener, known for her beautiful flowers. Ardeen enjoyed shopping and was famous for treating her kids and grandkids to "a little treat." She loved traveling with family across the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
