Alice was my 3rd grade teacher at Gretna Primary school in 1978. She and my mother Marcille Motley taught together for a few years. She was a great teacher. I remember her being caring and compassionate with her students. I am sorry for your loss.

Steve and Family,
I just heard about your loss this morning at work. I am so sorry. She was a great friend all through grade school and high school. She was a valued member of Class of '65. We know that she is not suffering now. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Arthur,
You don't know me but I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. Mrs. Arthur was a great, loving person. She worked with my son Chase at TJ and she was his biggest advocate and he loved working with her. She will be greatly missed by all the families lives she touched while working at TJ. Please know you & your family are in my prayers.

Although it has been many years since I hired Alice to be a special education teacher at Brentwood Elementary in Raleigh, thinking of her still brings a smile to my face. Alice had a rare gift of bringing laughter and positive energy to school everyday. She managed to transform an old trailer into a magical learning environment for her "special" students who where so fortunate to have her as their advocate and teacher. Alice's life was too brief but she lived her life more deeply than some who are granted more years. I feel honored to have known Alice and know her memory will be with me always. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sad time.
Most sincerely,
