Amy Otstot Obituary
Alison was born on May 16, 1961 in New Paltz, NY to Jeanne and Dr. John Fredrick Plummer Phd.
She attended High School in Madison, WI and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1984. Alison completed her Masters in Public Health in 1987 from Johns Hopkins. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Health Informatics from Central Queensland University in 2001.
Alison loved playing the flute, being outside, her cats, and most of all being with her family. She was the Director of IT for the Healthcare Business Women’s Association.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara Eve Newman; her husband, Bill; her mother, Jeanne Plummer of Minneapolis MN; and her brothers, Dale Plummer of Norwich, CT, John Plummer of Waterbury, CT, Dana Plummer of Westbrook ME, Ross Plummer of Austin TX, and Scott Plummer of Minneapolis MN.
Services will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Church of the Nativity, 8849 Ray Road, Raleigh NC. A reception will be held afterwards at Estill house adjacent to the church.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Episcopal Relief & Development, P.O. Box 7058 Merrifield, VA 22116-7058. www.er-d.org. Specify the “Health” or “Global Relief” funds.
