She was the organist and choir director at Holy Angels church in Dayton. She was a great source of musical knowledge and more than that, she was a tremendous artist who encouraged her students to learn and be their best.

I took a music appreciation course with Professor Lakos at MUDEC. It was a wonderful experience that introduced me to European classical music. I still smile at pieces today that I remember made her so happy to teach and discuss in that class over 30 years ago.
