Archie Ritchie Obituary
September 15, 1940 - December 30, 2024
Willow Spring, North Carolina - Archie Lynn Ritchie, 84, a retired math professor of 40+ years at William Peace University (then Peace College), died Monday 12/30/2024 at his home in Willow Spring, NC.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret S. Ritchie; his parents, Jesse David Ritchie and Maggie Ketner Ritchie; and all 12 of his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter Lynne Fish (Mark) of Willow Spring, NC; grandsons Chris Napier (Kayla) of Willow Spring, NC, Roger Fish (Autumn) of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Joey Fish of Angier, NC; and great grandchildren, Alayna Armstrong, MacKenzie, Armstrong, Dawson Napier, Jacob Rose, Lareina Callisto, Roman Fish, and Judy Fish; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Raleigh on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 2pm. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Duke Hospital NICU in memory of Archie, honoring his great granddaughter, Judy Mae Fish who was a patient there for 3 ½ months.

1970's at Peace. He was a wonderful teacher. We loved him very much!

Archie Ritchie was a GREAT math professor. I took several courses under him at Peace. He was also a wonderful God-fearing and God-loving man who invested himself into the lives of the young women he instructed at Peace. He was one of the faculty who helped make Peace College such a great institution. My condolences to the family. Cindy Seymour Class of '71 and Peace employee '80 - '98.
