Arturo Chavez Obituary

JAN. 18, 1948 - APRIL 7, 2005
Arturo Cocatana Chavez, 57, of Apex, son of the late Zacarias Chavez and surviving mother, Felicidad Chavez. He was born in the Philippines and remained as a Filipino Citizen. He migrated to the US on November 3, 1977.
He was predeceased by an older brother, Rogelio Chavez.
He is survived by former wife, Karen Spencer; daughters, Christina and Maria Chavez, all of Kittery, Maine; other daughter, Laurie Chavez of San Diego, CA. There are four sisters and three brothers surviving, Manuel Chavez the oldest, from Portsmouth, NH, Irene C. Gacklefrom Honolulu, Hawaii, Amparo C. Registrado of Apex, NC, Ofelia C. Bayhon of Holly Springs, NC, Lolita C. Drabinowiez of Hudson, NH, Amadeo C. Chavez of San Diego, CA, and Edgardo C. Chavez of Woodbridge, VA and 15 nieces and nephews.
Visitationwill be 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2005 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex. Prayer service will be at 7:45 p.m. Friday.
Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2005 at St. Andrew The Apostle Catholic Church, 3008 Old Raleigh Rd, Apex. Burial will follow in the Apex Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, donations will be greatly appreciated.
Services are entrusted to Apex Funeral Directors, 550 W. Williams St. (Hwy 55), Apex.
