Bennie Vanhook Obituary

Bennie Marcel Vanhook, 17, departed this life Saturday morning, December 30, 2006 at Duke University Hospital.
He was a junior at the Durham School of Arts.
Surviving are his parents, Colette Griffin and Mark Vanhook; three sisters, Dominique Vanhook, Evelyn Vanhook, and Tierra Graham, all of Durham; grandparents, Dr. Bennie Griffin, Jr., Sadie Griffin, of Durham, and Charlie Mebane Vanhook, of Mebane; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at New Jerusalem Community Church, 3107 Hursey St. Burial will be at Glenview Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from 7:00 --8:00 p.m. at New Jerusalem Community Church.
Contributions in Bennie>s memory may be made to New Jerusalem Community Church, 3107 Hursey Street, Durham, NC, 27703, c/o Bennie Marcel Vanhook.
