I had only become friends with Benta for a few months. We spent Thanksgiving together and I got to meet her beautiful daughter, son in law and grandbabies along with Robert. What a wonderful addition they were to our family gathering. They had become great neighbors to my son and his family and I just heard over and over what a wonderful couple they were. How true that was and my own grand children loved her too. What a cook she was as she arrived with not one dish but possibly 10+ to Thanksgiving.....we told her she did not need to bring anything since Robert was preparing a fried turkey. Learning of her surgery and complications was hard to bare but learning of her passing has left a mark on our hearts like we have not felt in a very long time. I am struggling to find the words to even express the loss we feel yet we know Roberts and her family is even greater. Please know we feel blessed to have had her in our lives even though it was for such a short time. She will always be remembered in so many great ways!
