Raleigh, North Carolina - Wilmon Kernie "Billy" Pearce, Jr., 84, passed away on December 16, 2020 at Wake Medical Center. Born on March 22, 1936 in Wake County; he was the son of the late Wilmon Kernie Pearce and Mary Elizabeth Coley Pearce. After graduating from Hugh-Morrison High School, he served honorably in the US Army.
Billy enjoyed fishing, hunting and time with family on Kerr Lake and Lake Gaston. He retired from Cargill as a production supervisor.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Rebecca Lee Stell Pearce; daughter: Kathy Pearce; son: David Pearce and wife Kristi; granddaughter: Ann Marie Parrish and husband Alex: great-grandchild: Blakely Parrish; siblings: Jimmy Pearce and wife Betsy and Margaret Jones.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenny Pearce, sister Sarah Pierce, and brother-in-law A.D. Jones.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd from 1-2 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, with a Funeral Service to be held at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Live Streaming will begin at 1:55 pm for those unable to attend in person. Interment will follow at Montlawn Cemetery.

My sincere condolences to the Pearce family on Billie's Passing. I remember very well Bill and Lib, and their family: Jimmy, Billie, Kenny, Sara, and Margaret when they all lived on Haywood St. Billie reminds me so much of his dad. Sara taught me in Bible school, and Margaret and I were classmates at Broughton HS. Our memories of the 'good ol' days' are somehow a comfort to us in times of sorrow. My God grant us peace...
