Cameron was a classmate at B. F. Grady School in Albertson and I was looking foward to seeing him at our next class reunion this fall. He was a great guy and my prayers go out to all of his family.

Though it has been some thirty years since we lived in the same neighborhood as the Deavers, we remember Cameron, Dorothy and the children with fondness. They were kind, generous and thoroughly decent people, whom we admired in many ways. We express sympathy to the family in their loss, but we are confident that Cameron is no longer suffering and is at peace.
Sincerely,
David and Jean Smoot and Family

I am much saddened to hear of Cameron’s passing. I will miss our “church hallway conversations”. It was always a pleasure to speak with Cameron. Whether our topic was the local real estate market, or the “Good Samaritan” stained glass windows in Chartres Cathedral, he always had an interesting insight relevant to the topic. Cameron was a good example to me. He was an example of a compassionate friend, one who reaches down to lift up those in need. An example of a faithful home teacher and a dedicated Gospel Doctrine Instructor. An example of one who was first to volunteer when help was needed for a local family move, or to help with the local food distribution, or some other worthy service opportunity. My life is better for having known Cameron. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers reach out to his family at this time.

Cameron was a wonderful friend. He became friends with my parents when they took the real estate licensing courses at the Deaver School of Real Estate back in the 70's. He became a friend of the family from that time forward. We spent so many wonderful times together, especially over the holidays. My brother, Kelly, and I learned a lot about real estate from Cameron. He was always so positive and upbeat....always humming, dancing, and singing. He was also one of the hardest workers I have ever met, but always willing to stop and tend to someone in need. He was like an uncle to me. My family loved him and he will certainly be missed. We know he is with his Savior and has everlasting peace. Our prayers are with you and your family during the days ahead. God bless you all.

Cameron was a wonderful person. He always had a smile, seemed to enjoy life, and he was always so thoughtful. We enjoyed the many times that he had dinner with our family and holidays he spent in our home. We will miss him, but the wonderful memories will always be with us.

I was fortunate to work with Brother Deaver in the Raleigh Temple on Thursday nights. He was always so warm and friendly with everyone. Even as the cancer returned, his personality didn't change at all. He would always offer a friendly smile and a handshake. Recently, he was asked to give the spiritual message at the temple. All I remember is the spirit and the love he has for the savior. There was no regret, just pure love. I will miss him.

Cameron, we went to grade school, High School, and BYU together. I didn't see you often after I joined the Navy and eventually settled in Florida, but we maintained contact through occasional visits to NC and class reunions. A flood of memories from our youthful days overcame me when I heard the news. I feel like a part of me is missing. God bless you and your family.

Cameron sold us our house and I remember he would bring candy and stuffed animals to my children on Halloween and Christmas. We'll miss you, Cameron.
