Carlton was a great man. I loved to listen to his stories. He would always welcome you when you walked into the salvage yard. Not too long ago, you could tell he loved delivering parts, he'd get calls wondering why he won't back yet, I'll be there shortly he'd say. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God bring you comfort.

Its hard for me to the think of this mortal world without Carlton in it. I cannot remember a time of not knowing him, his family, and the Salvage Yard family. Although we did not share blood relations, our families were so entwined together through the years, we were family, and will forever be. He will live in our hearts and consciences till our time here ends, and we meet again on the Golden Shore. Until then we close our eyes and we see him. We listen and we hear him. So many precious memories we have of him. Enjoy Gods Love and Peace Dearest Friend. One Day at a Time. Tillie, Debbie, Johnny, Kathy, Brandon, Jonathan, Jamie, and Allen Moore. Family.

Carlton was a very smart man who made himself an asset to our community. Our first car, a Opel Kadett stationwagon needed overhauling, and sure enough, Carlton had an engine we could use...How many people had the means to drive to work because Carlton Manning had surplus vehicles? Too numerous to tell. Well done Carlton....!

Mr. Carlton was one of the nicest and friendliest men I have ever known. He was an astute businessman and at the forefront of automobile recycling in North Carolina. I will always remember the great talks and timely advice given to me by Carlton. One of the highlights of attending a salvage sale was seeing guys like him. It was always like a Family reunion. His wit and charm will be missed by many. I join all salvage dealers in the state sending our deepest sympathies to the Manning Family. Rest in Peace my old Friend.
