We were so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a friend, a mentor, a leader, educator, and a healer. I came to Chapel Hill to work with him and always enjoyed doing so. He was beloved by his patients and colleagues alike - and always a true gentleman. He was a kind and gentle man and I consider it a privilege to have known him. We send you our most sincere sympathy.

To Chad and Mimi Thomas,
Just wanted to tell you how sorry we are to learn of your grandfather's death. It is so very difficult to lose family members who we love and who have been a part of our lives for so long. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Cynthia, Chad, Mimi and the Hendricks family,
I send out my heartfelt sympathy to you all on Dr. Hendricks' passing. Most certainly he lived his life in compassionate service to others, making quite a difference in this world - something to be so very proud of - but more than that, demonstrating such a love of fellow man. His loss will be felt by many. No doubt our Father has already rewarded him with those glorious words, "Well done, Thy good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:23) There can be no greater legacy than that.
You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
May God's love give you peace.
