Estelle Hall Crews, age 81, was called home to God on June 11, 2015. She was born on June 27, 1933 in Clayton. Here she attended Clayton Elementary through Clayton High School. She briefly resided in Baltimore, Maryland until she was wed to Graham Crews on October 25, 1950. They resided in Wendell where they were blessed with five children. Estelle touched many lives as she dedicated her life to social work and healthcare as a CNA II and private duty nurse practitioner. She embraced those she helped as if they were extended family and exemplified how love for others should be.

Memorial service 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Sudie Mae Hall; her sisters: Janie Hall and Annette Perry; her brother, Lonnie Perry; and two sons: Danny Graham Crews and Glenn Raye Crews.

Estelle is survived by her husband, Graham Crews; her sister, Hattie Mae Young; her brothers: Thomas Perry, John Wesley Perry, James H. Perry and MacArthur Perry; her son, Carl Thomas Crews; her daughters: Carolyn Faye Crews, Patricia Ann Crews, and Sheronda Woodard; in-laws; as well as a host of nieces and nephews; five grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; extended family and many friends.
