Dear Rosalinda and family,
I worked with Fernando at Economic Development (Empire State Development) in Syracuse, NY. Fernando was a kind and gentle man. I extend my sympathies to you and will say a prayer in church on Sunday.

Hello Rosalinda and family,
So sorry to hear of Fernando's passing. I have many fine memories of all of you from our many dinners and picnics together at Jim and Faustina Latorre's ( my parents) at Valley Drive and also at your home. I missed seeing all of you all these years. I remember Fernando's friendliness, and how he enjoyed talking with my Dad about gardening. I remember he had a great singing voice also! He was a great friend and will be greatly missed. My prayers are with you and your family. My sympathies also to Selina, Carina, and Belinda, I have many fond memories of all our family dinners.
Love and God Bless,
Vince Latorre

Linda: You will remember me as Jessica DeMarzo from the NYS Department of Health. I was so sorry to learn of your loss from today's Post-Standard. I only met Fernando a few times and he was always so very pleasant--and he had such a kindly facial countenance and great smile. I also remember stories of your family life with your husband and three girls--and what was always so impressive was that yours was such a close-knit and loving family. Please accept my deepest condolences and prayers. Your friend, Jessica Zambrano

Nanfing as he is fondly called is a great loss to our alma mater UP and the Philippines. His bother-in-law Rex is my co-fraternity in Tau Alpha.
