Geraldine Frances Peel

Geraldine Frances Glover Peel, 91, departed this life on July 3, 2009 at Windsor Point Continuing Care Retirement Community in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Geraldine is the daughter of the late Cleveland Jasper Glover, Sr. and Cleopatra Taylor Glover of Wilson, NC. Geraldine was born October 1, 1917 in Wilson. She attended East Carolina University. Geraldine was an elementary school teacher in North Carolina and in Richmond, Virginia for many years. She loved gardening, music, and animals, especially dogs. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis Dallas Peel, her sister Rachel Glover Paschall, and three brothers-in-law. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Deborah Peel Spidle and husband R. James Spidle of Fuquay-Varina, sister Margaret Glover Hicks of Fuquay-Varina, brother C.J. Glover, Jr. and wife Sybil Williamson Glover of Wilson, four nieces, and one nephew. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a cancer research organization of your choice, to Hospice of Wake County NC, or to the SPCA of Wake County NC, in memory of Geraldine Peel.
