Dear Ethel,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Hal on the Wake Forest Historic Preservation many years ago. He was a good man. In recent years, I remember how he enjoyed taking Cheddar on walks over at the Museum grounds. Your former home in my neighborhood will always be remembered as "the Miller House" in my memory. I hope in time, good memories will replace grief and sadness but it will take time, from one who knows. My love to you, Nancy Bates
