Aunt Sissy was the one woman in my life I have strived to emulate. Her faith, compassion, and love for all was absolutely astounding. She has touched the lives of so many people and will be missed more than anyone will ever know. I loved her so much and she will be treasured in my heart forever.

Happy memories of your family linger as I remember visiting with you as a child in Rocky Mount. I know that your mom has a special place in heaven.

My 'Aunt Sissy memories' begin long ago, when we would come to visit the family home in Rocky Mount. How we loved that house, and we would get so excited when we would see familiar landmarks. My later, most special, memories were of our private walks at the beach every summer - she put me to shame when it came to exercising!! Sissy was a great correspondent...I have greatly enjoyed the letters we have written in the past years. I will miss her, but I know that she and my mother are laughing together in Heaven!

Frankie, Jackie, Helen and Mike,

The ice and road conditions prevent me from attending your mother's service today but I did want you to know how much I loved your mother. She always treated us like royalty whenever we went to Sears to shop for going back to school or Easter clothes.

Old Wilson Road, Planters Oil Mill, Sears on Church St., no longer the places we remembered from our youth. But your mother will always be remembered as a very special person in my life, as will all of you.

A great life on earth is now being rewarded, take comfort in that she is now with her Lord and Savior.

My heart is with you today.

With the icy roads, unfortunately we are unable to be with you today - we are deeply disappointed and want each of the Brake family members to know we are with you in spirit. What a lovely lady I think of each tme I remember your Mother - having known her my entire life, she certainly exemplified a beautiful person and one I know each of you are so very proud!
