Jackson Perry Obituary

Jackson Bobbitt Perry
Durham
Jackson Bobbitt Perry, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Croasdaile Village. He was a native of Durham County and the husband of the late June Metcalf Perry.
Jackson retired from the University of North Carolina Student Store and was an avid Duke fan. He attended Northgate Chapel and was a US Navy veteran serving in the European Theatre during WW II. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his son, Timothy Jay Perry of Mebane; daughter, Jane Perry Marks and her husband, Robert of Durham; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother, P.C. Perry of Durham; sister, Pauline Wethington of Raleigh. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, Fennimore Carr Perry and Velma Bobbitt Perry; two brothers and three sisters.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Croadsville Village for their kind and compassionate care of Jackson over the past few years.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 11:00 am at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Robert Adcock. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 am on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
