James Hicks Obituary
He was born in Wake County the son of William E. Hicks and Yvonne Joyner Hicks. He was retired as an Inspector with Mactec in Raleigh.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Hicks, a sister, Gina Hicks, and a brother, Doug Hicks.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held 2 o’clock Friday afternoon November 26, 2010 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home.
Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife, Kimberly Barham Hicks; daughters, Lindsay Joyce and Brittany Hicks of Wake Forest, Anna Hicks of Greenville, NC; stepson, Chris Muse of Louisburg; mother, Yvonne Joyner Hicks of Raleigh and a sister, Mary Hiemenz of Raleigh.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service Friday at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center 405 South Main St. Wake Forest, NC 27587. (919-556-5811)

Dear Mr. Hicks-
Sadly, I never got the opportunity to meet or get to know you. However, if Brittany and Lindsay are a testament to your character (and I'm sure they are), then I know you were an amazing person! Your influence upon Brittany has helped her grow into a great person and dear friend. I am confident that I will be joining you in praying for them and the rest of your family.

Almost 38 years out of high school with Jimmy and it seems like yesterday. He had such a great sense of humor and was so much fun to be around. God's Blessing on Jimmy and the family. Tricia Jones Keelan

I played a lot of Golf with Jimmy and Doug over the years . He was hiliarious to be around . I am very sorry for what the families have had to deal with the past few months . Ya'll do the best you can and I will pray for you all. Take care and God bless you !

Jimmy was just a great guy to be around. We all really enjoyed our time with him. He was by far the best athlete I ever played with. I'm so very sorry for your lost.

I was very saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing. He was a fellow classmate from high school and I remember his humor and love of life.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family. It is a very difficult time for all of you and I am so sorry.
