Youngsville, North Carolina - Janet Brown Privette, age 66, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. Janet was born March 5, 1958, in Wake County to Peggy Hurt Brown and the late Dwight Dale Bown.
Janet is survived by her husband of 44 years, Randy Lee Privette; sons: Andrew Privette and wife Tracy, Todd Privette and wife Mary; grandchildren: Sydney Holden, Caitlyn Teator, Emmett Privette, Jackson Privette; mother, Peggy Brown; brother, Steve Brown and wife Carol; sister, Ginger Brown; nephew, David Brown; brother-in-law, Berry Privette and wife Terrie; as well as many special extended family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC, and other times at the home.
A service to celebrate Janet's life will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church, 4525 Hopkins Chapel Road, Zebulon. Burial will follow in the Perry-Privette Family Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church Land Acquisition Fund.

Mrs. Privette was such a wonderful and loving person. She was my husband´s Kindergarten teacher at Louisburg Elementary in 1984 and my teacher that very next year in 1985. She made learning so exciting. No one had a "housekeeping center" as fun as Mrs. Privette´s! She definitely inspired me as a very young child to have the dream of becoming an elementary teacher. We are so blessed to have been touched by her love and kindness.

I taught with Janet at Zebulon Elementary School . I will always remember Janet as one of the nicest people I have ever met. Janet was always smiling always lööking for ways to make a bad situation better. Janet also taught my son Jeremy. Janet was a Kind and patient teacher. Janet was a true angel. I will miss her kindness .
