I was honored to work with Dr. Joe as member of the UNC Hepatology div. of the UNC GI Division--always available and a true friend. We both were Vanderbilt grads--he will always be special to me!! RIP Joe, well done. Henry "Hank" Lesesne, MD

I am deeply saddened to know that my good friend and colleague, Joe Grisham, has passed away. We had a long and successful collaboration in research at the National Cancer Institute. Joe was an outstanding scientist, who made significant contributions to our current understanding of liver diseases, and in particular liver cancer. I will always treasure our collaboration and friendship.
